Welcome! My name is Salma Emmanuel, I am an assistant lecturer in Economics at the University of Dar es Salaam and a PhD student in Energy and Environmental Economics at the Makerere University. I am a Robert McNamara Scholar at the Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) unit at the World Bank for the year 2023/2024. My research focuses on the environment, climate change, energy, gender, and development economics with a methodological focus on field experiments and a regional focus on East Africa.
